More Than a Novel Series
The Forbidden Scrolls is an analogy but it is based on a true story of seduction, addiction, and recovery from sexual addiction. Written in a style half way between The Chronicles of Narnia and Lord of the Rings this series is a unique way to help people uncover the foundations of their own brokenness as well as elements they will need to unlock on their own journey to sexual wholeness.
The Shadow of Black Rock reveals how the dragon seduces a boy, Raef, drawing him away from family and friends through the illusion of compassion. It is forbidden to speak the dragon’s name or even speak much of it, leaving young Raef vulnerable to its charms. The Great Spirit enables a warrior named Erif to watch the story unfold so he can record it, in hopes the entire province will one day be warned of the true nature of the dragon.

The Other Side of Black Rock is where the dragon takes Raef once the boy is completely in the dragon’s control. There Raef discovers many others under the dragon’s power, living in a dulled state of existence. No one ever spoke of this place and Raef wonders if anyone back in the villages even knows this place exists. Reaf finally forces himself to leave Black Rock and return to the village, but he is still under the dragon’s spell. He marries, hoping to find joy, but he remains helplessly controlled. Meanwhile Erif continues to record the story while being trained by The Great Sprit to battle the dragon.

Under the Burning Sun follows the discovery by Raef’s wife of his intertwinement with the dragon. She learns of a Soul Healer and they set out to find him. They discover an entire village of people who had been seduced like Raef but have since broken free from the dragon’s spell. Here both Raef and his wife find healing through the slow process of purging the effects of the dragon and learning to embrace The Great Spirit’s purpose for them. Erif and the dragon face off as the dragon attempts to steal the scrolls Erif has written that reveal the dragon’s secrets.
